Holiday and Weekend Staff – Museum and Brasserie (m/f/x)
Are you someone who enjoys working in a lively environment where no two days are the same? Then this holiday or weekend job might be perfect for you!
What will you be doing?
We are looking for enthusiastic team members to support our museum brasserie, Het Vijfde Caisson, during busy weekends and school holiday periods. You’ll work together with our permanent staff in the café – serving guests, working the cash register, or helping out in the kitchen. Occasionally, you may also assist with light duties in the museum, such as welcoming visitors.
Who are we looking for?
- You enjoy helping others and are friendly and approachable
- You like working as part of a team
- You are available during weekends and/or school holidays
- You have a hands-on attitude and can work independently
- Experience in hospitality or retail is welcome, but not required – we’ll show you the ropes!

About Us
Het Vijfde Caisson is the café and knowledge centre next to the Watersnoodmuseum in Ouwerkerk. The museum tells the story of the devastating North Sea Flood of 1953 and explores current topics like climate change and sea level rise. Our guests include tourists, museum visitors, professionals, and locals – and we aim to give each and every one of them a great experience.
